We do a lot of camping and with three little ones, a fear of the dark is perfectly normal! As they get older, the dark becomes fun but they still don’t wander off very far without a light! They all had cute little child sized lanterns but they didn’t last long due to quality issues. This AYL StarLight is the perfect solution! It’s small so perfect for young hands to carry but the LEDlight makes it super bright to light their way!
The latter is a little bit smaller than I would have expected but it’s actually great for the kids. Our old school lantern that you have to light with a match is metal and quite heavy and not suitable for the kids.
This is the first lantern that we’ve owned that’s LED and it’s appropriate since everything seems to be going in that direction these days! It’s a brighter, longer lasting, energy efficient light so why not have it for camping!
The only bummer is is takes three D batteries which are expensive. My kids have been playing with it nonstop and haven’t killed the batteries yet so they do last quite a while.
I like how easy it is to put in the batteries by just twisting off the bottom. I don’t know about you but I am so tired of having to unscrew things with the tiniest screwdriver I can find!
