Ozeri Touch II Professional Digital Kitchen Scale Review

I think I am one of the luckiest women in the world because my husband is seriously awesome. Among the many amazing things about my husband, Matt, is that he can cook and bake really well, and I mean really well.

He makes delicious chicken and dumplings, Indian curries, the best alfredo sauce you’ve ever tasted, lemon curd that tastes like sunshine, cinnamon rolls that are soft and gooey, and he’s really good at taking whatever we have in the kitchen and throwing together a wonderful meal.

On top of all that, he bakes our sandwich bread, but more than anything, he is famous among our family, friends, and his co-workers for his artisan bread.

For quite a while now my husband has been wanting a kitchen scale to aide him in his cooking and baking endeavors, so I was pretty excited that I had the opportunity to try out a Touch 2 digital kitchen scale by Ozeri. I decided to surprise my husband, so I left it on the kitchen island where I knew he would see it when he got home. He saw it right away and asked what it was. He was pretty happy when he found saying, “Hey, I’ve been wanting one of those!”

There are a variety of reasons to use a digital kitchen scale, among them accuracy in measuring ingredients, and also as an aide to dieting. You can probably tell by the list of foods that my husband cooks, but we are not dieters! My husband wants it specifically to measure flour while making his breads. Apparently using a measuring cup does not always measure the exact same amount of flour each time. That’s a problem in bread baking because it can lead to the loaf turning out differently every time and requiring slightly different amounts of time for baking, which leads to the bread being over, or under done.

My husband is not going to have that problem now, because the Touch 2 digital kitchen scale is incredibly exact! I tested it out and was very pleased with its speed and accuracy. It’s really easy to set up and use. It can handle weight between 0.1oz and 11lbs and you can choose if you want it to display results in pounds, kilograms, grams, and ounces.

Another thing I really like about this scale is that it uses Microban, which means it has antimicrobial product protection, which basically means it helps to prevent harmful bacteria from forming on the scale.

My husband and I are very pleased with the Touch 2 digital kitchen scale, and I know it’s going to become a regularly used tool in our kitchen!
