When Perfection Calls: The Ozeri Gourmet Digital Kitchen Scale

Ozeri Gourmet Digital Kitchen Scale with Timer, Alarm and Temperature DisplayI admit I’m not a huge chef. Ok fine, I barely cook! But on occasion when the mood strikes, I do like to have the latest kitchen tools I need at my disposal to make a fabulous meal!

Ozeri makes wonderful bath scales so I figured their kitchen scale would be similar. I like to go with names and brands that I’m already familiar with for simplicity and this definitely held up to Ozeri’s reputation of quality.

I like that there are only four buttons, although I did still have to look up in the directions how to use them, except for the on/off button of course! It comes with the AAA batteries needed which I always appreciate. I want to start using my new gadgets right away, not have to wait to dig up some batteries!

This has some great functions that wouldn’t even occur to me were in a kitchen scale. I thought it just weighed things but this has a kitchen alarm timer which always comes in handy! I usually use my microwave but it never fails that someone will come along to use the microwave and mess up my timer and I don’t realize it until I smell the burn! No more! Now I am using my Digital Kitchen Scale as a timer as well.

It also has a handy conversion button which I always need! I wish all recipes were universal but since the world doesn’t work that way, I have my secret weapon to figure it out for me. The Tare feature also helps take out the guess work by letting you zero out whatever you might want factored out such as the container holding what you’re weighing.

The Ozeri Gourmet Digital Kitchen Scale is my new best friend in the kitchen. It’s sleek design helps it blend right in without being an eyesore and it’s ease of use makes it fast and simple.

Ozeri Food Storage Container Set with Vacuum Seal Review

I don’t know about you but I’m always in need of additional food storage. Tupperware lids and even entire containers have a way of disappearing into thin air in my house! I was eager to try the new Ozeri Instavac Green Earth Food Storage but mainly because I needed it, not because I had any idea what it was all about!

This is definitely not your ordinary food storage or Tupperware set! I had no idea I could be so impressed by something so simple that would make my day to day life easier. Since I just had a baby, friends have been delivering meals to me. With lots of leftovers to keep track of, it was the perfect opportunity to try out the whole set!

I love that there is vacuum freshness so that food will last longer. When I have leftovers, I don’t want to eat the same thing over and over until it’s gone. I like to alternate it with something else so I need it to keep longer. With the little date dial on the cover, I know exactly how long something has been inthere. That’s something this sleep deprived mama would not be able to remember without a little assistance.

After using them all for a week. leftovers actually lasted that long that I know definitely wouldn’t have survived in regular containers or foil. It helps us to save money to not have to throw away food that could have survived longer with proper storage.

The Ozeri Instavac Green Earth Food Storage Container Set is a new mom’s best friend with leftovers galore helping meals last even longer than expected. Thanks Ozeri!

Instant vacuum freshness without pumps, motors or confusing parts. Simply press down on the center of the lid and air is forced out through the one-way valve. Requires minimal effort.

Patented valve easily removes excess air so growth of naturally occurring bacteria is greatly reduced, and food stays fresh longer. Also features a release valve that prevents spills, splatters, and bursting when used in microwaves.

Wave pattern on bottom of each container keeps cut fruit and vegetables elevated from water and juices.

Handy date dial allows you to record when food was first stored and monitor days kept in the refrigerator.

BPA-free, stain-resistant, shatter-proof, and as transparent as glass. Freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Kitchen Tools Stainless Steel Cleaner Microfiber Cloth Towel to Polish Appliances

Now that I have stainless steel appliances I have learned a few things about stainless steel. There are different grades which can make all the difference in cleaning and also the price. I was excited when we decided to buy stainless steel appliances, until they were delivered and installed and I looked at all the fingerprints on them. I realized I may have caused a whole lot more work for myself! Ugh!

I have tried the Pro Chef Kitchen Towel on many things. The instructions are to fold the Polishing Towel and use it dry (I assume it means to then use a little bit of elbow grease.) First I tried my toaster. It is a little older and an inexpensive stainless steel. It has been hard to clean even with the Pro Chef Kitchen Tools Premium Microfiber Cloth Stainless Steel Polishing Towel. There were some spots on it which were impossible to remove.Pro Chef Kitchen Tools Stainless Steel Appliance Polishing Cloth - Clean and Polish Appliances, Counters, Fridge Doors, Sinks, Windows with Easy Wipes Using Dry, Damp or with Cleaners

I then tried the Polishing Towel on my dishwasher which is new, but has a few water spots on it. Those water spots I could not rub out with the Polishing Towel either and honestly I didn’t want to rub to hard and accidentally scratch it. I tried it dry as recommended and also with water on the Towel, but the water spots are still there. On to trying out the Polishing Towel on my oven which was fairly clean and new, but did have a few water spots also and those were easy to wipe off. My oven and my dishwasher are different brands so I wonder if that had something to do with it.

Then I tried my coffee mug that is stainless steel. When I wet the Polishing Towel by Pro Chef it worked with a little less elbow grease on my coffee mug. The latest thing I tried the Polishing Towel on was my dog’s water bowl. I was able to polish it clean for the most part. It seemed like the right kind of stainless steel for this Microfiber cloth.

Now I have learned even more about stainless steel. The age of the stainless steel and/or how long or well the stainless still has been cleaned has a lot to do with trying to clean the stainless steel now. Also, I have learned that you should not let water or spills dry on your stainless steel appliances! Pro Chef Kitchen Polishing Towel seemed to work on a few things, but may have worked on more if I would have used more elbow grease!
